Dear Mr President,
This year, 2017, four critical events took place, which shall forever shape the political history of our motherland, Kenya:
- 8/8/2017 – The people of our republic, in their numbers, came out and made their choice through the ballot. You definitely won that election.
- 1/10/2017 – The judges of the Supreme Court, in their own wisdom, overturned the results of the August 8th polls. This nullification was the first in Africa and the third in the world.
- 26/10/2017 – Kenyans once again reaffirmed their earlier decision during the repeat presidential election. They expressed confidence in your leadership.
- 19/11/2017 – The very same Supreme Court, which had earlier nullified your win, upheld the results of the October repeat polls.
Out of it all, you emerged the victor. The will of the people reigned supreme.
Mr. President,
All that is behind us now.
As you get sworn in, five days from now (28/11/2017), it’s all up to you.
You have both the yam and the knife. Whether you decide to cut yourself a piece or not, whether you decide to cut yourself a big or small piece, it’s all up to you.
It’s time to serve the nation.
It’s time to define your legacy.
Before you lay a rare opportunity; one that will forever shape the story of Uhuru Kenyatta as President of Kenya. It is the last term that forever defines the legacy of any president.
Grab the moment, fulfill your promises and leave behind a story that future generations will be proud to be associated with.
And if, by any chance, you waste this golden opportunity, history shall judge you very harshly.
Yours truly
Mr Chronicles, Alvan Kinyua
