President Uhuru Kenyatta and DP William Ruto are on Monday set to meet more than 10,000 women who have volunteered to form a nationwide Women Brigade that will protect Kenyatta’s votes during the 26th October 2017 presidential polls re-run.
The women from across the country have declared their commitment to ensuring that President Kenyatta’s votes are safe.
They have also expressed their disappointment with the Supreme Court judgement that nullified Kenyatta’s win arguing that the court ought to have given more consideration to the number of votes each candidate garnered during the 8/8/2017 polls rather than the technicalities of the results transmission process.
“President Kenyatta’s votes must be safe; each one of them,” argued one of the Brigade members.
The women will operate under #UhuRutoWomenBrigade banner.
